Were you there? They were not!

Today: was not there and the with plurals:

  • Cha robh..X..ann. (chah roe….ow-n [rhymes with clown])  X was not there.
  • na (nah) the for plurals (usually)

Filling in previously used words, but now with their plurals:

  • Cha robh a’ chlann ann. (clown) The children were not there.
  • Cha robh na tidseran ann. (TEACH-er-in) The teachers were not there.
  • Cha robh poileasmain  ann. ((POH-lis-men) The policemen were not there.
  • Cha robh na balaich ann. (BAHL-ich) The boys were not there.
  • Cha robh na nigheanan ann. (NEE-uh-nin) The girls were not there.
  • Cha robh na rudan sin ann. (ROOT-in shin) Those things were not there.

Try saying the same things were there.

    “Bha Mo Lennan Ann” it’s a great tune, & fits the bill.
