Bliadhna mhath ùr!

January 5, 2018
  • Bliadhna mhath ùr! (BLEE-nuh VAH oor) Happy New Year!

GRAMMAR REMINDER: adjectives come after nouns in Gaelic.

Important phrase for January:

  • Bha sneachda ann (VAH SHNECH da own) [where own rhymes with clown] It snowed.

2016 was an extremely busy year in which I kept hoping to find time continuing to update here. I see that the visits have continued fairly steadily and I hope the page is helpful, although I am not an expert, but merely enjoy studying languages myself.

My goal is to give new words and phrases at least a few times a week, for 2017.

Happy New Year to all!

Hi, Renea! And it’s nice to see you again, too! I hope to be able to stick to a real schedule even if it’s not quite back up to DAILY yet!
